6 Oct 2018 (38w): I am officially a mother

If you follow my posts, you'll know that I am having a 'termed breech' baby in my womb. A c-section must be scheduled before my estimated due date so we have a better controlled way of baby being born. The day has finally arrived. I woke up early in the morning, took shower, washed hair, lugged my hospital bag, then follow hubby to the Prince Court Medical Centre (PCMC). Before I pass the admission letter to the registration person, I noticed the letter stated a wrong date. My appointment is on 6 Nov 2018. What?! November?! The registration person questioned me why I need to admit 1 month earlier, I was like @.@ They made a few calls then finally let me go to my ward room. PS: PCMC has concierge service. They will arrange people come help you carry bags and guide you to the ward room. Nurses prepared all the necessary things for me in the room when I arrived. I changed to PCMC hospital gown, nurse used a cardiotocography (CTG) machine to monitor contractio...

3 Oct 2018 (37w4d): Breast pump

Image
Electric breast pump If latching, I scare baby will pull up my clothes in public. I have to return work after a short 8-week maternity leave. Plus, my company does not allow me to work from home after maternity leave. So, I wish to feed my baby breast milk from a bottle. Many experienced mothers recommended us to choose Spectra S1, an electric breast pump that is hospital grade. It allows us to express both breasts simultaneously and maintain breast-milk supply. I got my second hand Spectra S1 from Carousell. The person was selling at SGD95 (Approximately RM285). Then, I bought 2 sets of breast pump shield set qoo10. I was using SGD10 coupon, the price after discount is SGD40.10 (Approximately RM120.30). Before we start pumping, we need to sterilize the pump components except the tubing and the pump itself. The tubing doesn't come into contact with milk, so doesn't need sterilizing. I heard the Spectra's Valves will spoilt easily. So, I bought May...
